02/14/2018Hi Tracy- very helpful and agree setung expectations early!!
We’ve usually picked up the tab for everything with our kids and grandkids. Now that we are retired we are limited $$$ – so I guess I’ll be implementing this. Question: did you bring/buy all of the groceries for the condo?
Again, most helpful!

02/15/2018Thank you Susan! I am glad that you enjoyed the video. I do agree, when you retire, in most cases your monthly income can go down. This is especially true if you are not wanting to live off of your investments. There is nothing wrong with cutting back, and picking and choosing where you put your dollar. As for the groceries … yes, we did purchase the groceries and prepare food ahead. If you watch the Vlog, you will see that we made chili for dinner, and also made an Overnight Egg Bake.

02/14/2018Hi Tracey
Lové lové your blogs/videos
Suggestion on a topic I would like to see. My husband and are in our early 50. Kids are grown up 26 22. We find ourselves with no friends. Work and home and immediate small family. I felt so bad last year when my son got married and we had no one to invite. I never felt so lonely and sad. It’s very hard to make friends at this age. Collègues at work are just that and nothing else. What do u suggest. I wish I had a friend like you. God bless.

02/15/2018Carla, reading this breaks my heart. Do you by chance follow me on Snapchat? I have some things to say … but feel that the Snapchat Platform would be a great start.

02/20/2018Carla may I suggest you and your husband may be able to volunteer in your community. If you attend a church there is always ways to volunteer to help with different ministries. Anything from food pantries, creative arts, financial/stewardship, prayer warriors, and washing linens to name just a few.
Are you a gardener, many community have gardens to be tended to.
Are you a reader., check out your library for book clubs.
Hospitals always welcome volunteers as well.
Volunteering may be a way to meet new people and maybe make friends all the while doing something good.
God bless you and I’ll say a prayer for you to find the friends you are looking for

02/18/2018How do you implement a budget with a college age daughter (19, freshmen year) when you’ve always paid for most things. She recently got a part-time job and we would like to have her start paying for things such as gas, clothes, etc. so she can budget her own money and take ownership. She’s resentful we are “just” implementing this, and I’m feeling like a failure parent. My husband and I felt her first semester was a time to adjust to being in college so we didn’t have her get a job. Where did we go wrong and how do we fix it??!!!

02/19/2018Thank you for submitting. I did a Snap on a subject related to this on Snapchat, this past week. Hopefully you got a chance to see that. I will add this question to the Q & A Video. Or I may address it on Snap, as well.
