Prepare For Life's Troubled Waters • Tracy Hensel

Difficulties will come. Life is a contrast. Good things come, and sometimes they go. It’s hard. It’s hard to keep it together, especially if you have no plan to overcome the rocky times. You must prepare for life’s troubled waters.

It’s best to believe life will show you what it is. There is so much outside our control, yet it’s easy to get tripped up by every little nuance. I call them paper cuts. The more I do my ‘Life’s Work’ according to God’s will, the more paper cuts I get. It makes sense as the enemy is threatened by those of us who use our Divine Gifts to help others.

I love the adage, “Navigate the smooth and rocky terrains of life with equal ease.” In fact, I have it written on one of my notecards. I reflect on it often as I practice my daily self-work.

Adapting to life’s adversities comes from having a firm foundation. A firm foundation comes with upfront work instead of waiting until you’re already in the trenches. Rational people who hold it together have NO fewer crosses to bear than those who appear irrational. Rational people simply put work in to set them up for success so as to move swiftly and thoughtfully through the rocky terrains of life.
