The Perfect Summer Office Look
I don’t think it’s going to come as any surprise, I love wearing the color blue. Should we do a little recap? How about this Jumpsuit, or this Button Down, that I chose to wear open, more like a long vest, than a blouse! I absolutely loved this look!! Or how about this cobalt blue, Dress? Stunner, isn’t it? And Ladies, there are great tips in that blog post, on making your legs appear longer and leaner. There are plenty more blue looks, like this Dress, and this Sweater. I am sure by now, you get my love for blue.
It is endless with what you can do with different shades of blue, and color combining is one of them. I love to play around with color, when it comes to putting outfits together. This Cami that I am wearing with the green and white, looks great paired with these cobalt blue cropped trousers. I also have this top in Pink. You can see it, in this blog post, here. I love the unique back on these cami’s. If you are chesty, I would size up. You will need to do this to get the back to lie right. I ordered a US 6. It was slightly tight through the bust area. A US 8 would have been a more suitable size.
This perfect summer office look, took me right into the evening. I’m sure many of you ladies can relate to that. Going from the office, right to a kid’s sporting event is quite common these days. This chic and classy outfit held up perfectly to get me through Chloe’s Swim Meet, where I also had to stand next to the pool and time swimmers. It chilled down later in the evening, so I threw on this yellow cardigan to keep me warm. You can see more of this cardigan in this blog post, here. The pop of yellow added in a nice third color. I could have even threw in the preppy look and tied the cardigan around my shoulders. I still love that look, although you don’t see it too often.
Don’t be afraid of playing with color, ladies. It can really bring life to your look, and your day. There are plenty of articles on the internet with inspirations for combining colors. Using Color Theory and the color wheel is a great place to start. But don’t be afraid to experiment a little. I love, and am very inspired by this article, here. Although I didn’t choose one of these options for today’s look, you better believe I will be incorporating both this top and these bottoms in some of the suggestions made in that article.
