I just saw your latest youtube about your empties from the last couple of months. You mentioned the possibility of ceasing doing youtube as you mentioned you had received fewer views. I have a subject that you may like to think about discussing that might help many women. I retired at 57 and have enjoyed a number of years of good living and travel. My husband and I are middle classed, having a good income, but certainly not millionaires by any means. A few people have asked me how to I managed to retire that young. I see so many younger women constantly spending money and not giving their future a thought. An example is this – I was pulling out of our local Trader Joe’s one day, and I saw 11 women standing outside in the freezing cold in a line all looking down at their phones waiting for their turn to enter a nail salon. I laugh at this, but I wanted to pull up and put my window down and say “unless you have a fully funded emergency fund, a Roth or traditional IRA – get out of that line.” Why not purchase a bottle of nail polish and do it yourself? So many of these social media sites, Youtube, etc. are pushing consumerism. What the young women of today need is to develop what I call a “life plan”. We built a new home and took out a 20 year mortgage and paid it off in 18 years, paid all college expenses, own 3 paid for cars, never charge anything, traveled to Europe several times, and retired early with a life plan. I wear quality clothing and have a nice wardrobe, take good care of myself, eat healthy and exercise – all with a plan. Just a suggestion, but I think many of your subscribers could benefit with a little bit of guidance along these lines.
