I recently purchased these adorable patterned wide-leg pants on clearance. The next day, they sold out online. I was bummed, but the proactive person that I am got right on the hunt to find some alternatives.

Wide Leg Pants

Urban Outfitters | YesStyle | Guess | Shoptique | Shoptique | Shoptique | Shoptiques | Shoptiques | Overstock | GoJane | H & M | Forever 21 | Forever 21 | Bloomingdales | Forever 21 (Plus Size)

Other items that I am wearing

Strapless Bra Highly recommend – worth every penny for GREAT undergarments! | Leather Cord Necklace see other cord necklaces that I am currently loving and wearing in this blog post, here
If you choose to wear Shapewear underneath pants similar to these, I recommend ones that go lower on the leg. This will ensure that they will not be seen through the pants, because the leg of the pants will be flared out at that point. I recommend these ones, here or here. See my blog post on Shapewear, here.

Beautiful as always! You really have me re-thinking everything including shapewear. Living in Florida where it’s hotter than you know what had me leaving my shapewear in the drawer. Also, I thought there was something wrong with me that when I tried to wear shapewear with pants that bottom hem always showed on my thighs! Glad to hear I’m not alone. I also think it’s important for everyone to understand shapewear can only do so much, you aren’t going to appear “thin” because of spanx, just smoother. The thin, fit part comes from eating and exercise. You look so amazing because you are so disciplined and that really inspires me, so thank you!
I’m on the Tracy train and I’ve been buying Kombucha, Karma Wellness Water, making your morning ginger detox drink, your salmon, oh I could go on and on! I would like to get the fiber powder you use. Could you provide a link for it or tell me where to get it?
Thank you so much, you are making such a difference in my life!

Thank you Kellyann! I can imagine shapewear being a little of a nuisance when living in such a hot weather state … where I am sure, less is more when it comes to keeping cool. You bet, on the hem of the shapewear showing. I have found that we really need to go with our longer versions to wear under our trousers. You are so SPOT on about your comment, “Shapewear aren’t going to necessarily make you look thin, only smooth!” Unfortunately … gotta put the ‘thin’ in the gym and healthy eating! Good tips! I am loving the Karma water, as well. Its a good healthy treat for us clean eater! I look forward to min a few days a week, mixing it up with a Kombucha or Kevita! I will be happy to send you a link for the Fiber Powder that I am using …. http://amzn.to/29yfmog .. there is also an option to purchase it through PRIME if you are a member! Have a beautiful day! And thank you for your contributing comment! xoxo

Stunning outfit!! I tried so hard to “help you out” (just kidding, help ME out 😉), and tried with every pair, but this Amazon woman is just too tall, lol! Such a caring, conscientious blogger you are, though, to work so hard to provide so many links! Thank you for all the efforts you make to help your followers!! 😊😘

Amy, I can only imagine your struggles with your amazing height! I just wish these fashion brands would get to where ALL clothing items came in 3 different hem lengths. This calls for dresses, rompers, jumpsuits … you name it! I cannot even imagine you trying to find a romper .. when myself .. being just shy of 5’6″ cannot even generally find one.

Thank you, also for your nice comment on helping find other options for different body types + shapes. I think it’s important. As you know, many +40 year old ladies are not as ‘fit’ as you & I. If I don’t try to find alternatives .. I may not be a fashion blogger much longer. I think it is imperative for bloggers trying to reach out to this age, make every effort to present many alternatives.

Thanks again my dear friend! You bring so much good to my life, my business & my brand and it is much appreciated!!! xo

Ok I’m piggy backing here on Kellyann’s post . Which I totally agree . But we all forgot one important thing here . Not only are you doing yourself a favor by clean eating and getting yourself in shape ,your improving your quality of life . The health benefits are amazing . I’ve been eating clean and exercising for over a year And a half . I’ve lost 110 lbs . !! Yes you read that right . So needless to say I’m a huge believer . It’s a lifestyle change NOT a diet . No I’m not a spring chicken either I. I will turn 50 this November and have a lot of cards stacked against me hypothyroidism , Lupus needless to say nothing was going to stop me . You have to want it . 😀
