Cleansing Detox Broth

Detox Broth

We all need a good detox now and again. I’m sure it’s safe to say that most people (like myself), probably over did it in the indulgent department during the holiday season. Let’s face it, our bodies need a healthy break after all that goodness. When I need a detox, this broth is a lifesaver. The recipe is clean and simple. The results are both warm and soothing. I love that you can just sip on this Detox Broth throughout the day. You can have it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It can be frozen. You also can make a perfect meal out of the leftover lean protein and vegetables from this broth.

Detox Broth

This recipe came from Giada De Laurentiis’s Feel Good Food Cookbook. This cookbook is great. It is chocked full of plenty of delicious and healthy recipes you can mix in throughout the year.

How funny, Lydia. It goes to show you …it’s that time of year (again)! Everyone’s thinking the same way. I have a few other ‘Bone Broth’ recipes, but they are more complicated. I thought this one was a great one to start with. Happy New Year to you, Jeff, Miss Averie and the rest of your beautiful family. xo

I am definitely making this. I’m doing the Whole 30 in January and this will fit in perfectly with the menu of clean eating plus it will be nice to have on hand and ready! Thanks for sharing♡

Glad to hear it, Keri! I am not familiar with the ‘Whole 30’ … I’ll have to Google it. Sounds positive! Hope it is successful for you. Please keep us all posted. New Year-New Goals! I Love it!

I’ve been hearing so many great reviews of that cookbook; I think I will pick up a copy and check it out.
I generally crave more simple foods like this and I find they’re usually not very labor intensive or use expensive ingredients either. Fresh and simple….that’s a recipe for good health!

Donna, this is a pretty good book. She shares a lot of nice info on skin, hair, nails, etc. I always love when beauty inspirations are thrown into the mix. As for the recipe, I have some other good Detox/Bone Broth recipes. However, they are … like you referenced, ‘labor intense’. I love Giada’s recipe because it truly is easy. I am a cook, but I respect that many are not. I wanted to keep it simple, for now. I am with you, completely .. on ingredients. One of the first things I look for in a cookbook … how many items do I currently have stocked in the pantry. I shouldn’t have to spend $50 just to make one simple recipe. Time is a whole other issue. Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate it. Have a Happy New Year! xo

I haven’t thought about bone broth like this but maybe I could try the bone broth detox. I’ve been drinking Au Bon Broth every morning and it does changes with my health and body.
