I believe that brushes are the most important factor in achieving a good makeup application. If you have not tapped into adding makeup brushes to your routine, stop now! I wouldn’t purchase another cosmetic product. As extra spending money becomes available or with each paycheck, invest in a brush or two. Get comfortable using the brushes and watch your makeup application transform. Continue this, until you have the proper brushes for each makeup product you use. Let me also say – there are some ‘exceptional’, affordable brushes on the market. You can find these at places like Walgreen, CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart, Target, your local grocery store and Ulta.

FACE BRUSHES

EYE BRUSHES

1.  BASE COLOR ON THE LID TO GET STARTED (over primer): Sigma E40
2. CREASE BRUSHES (VARIETY): Different brushes are used for this application, according to what I am trying to achieve: Sigma E25 / Sephora Crease / Sonia Kashuk Crease
3. LID BRUSH: Sigma E55
4. OUTER V (VARIETY): MAC 219 / Sigma E36 I also use 2 drugstore makeup brushes by ‘Studio M’. They are the brushes with the red handles (below). I could not find them on-line to link. I purchase these brushes at a store called ‘Meijer’. Meijer is only located in a few states. The store is comparable to a ‘Wal-mart’ or ‘Super Target’.
