Weekend Adventure on Snapchat

Snapchat

Happy Friday Everyone! I hope you had a great week! If you’re anything like me, there’s nothing more satisfying than Friday night and knowing it’s just the beginning of the weekend.

If you follow me on Snapchat, you probably know by now I am in the Windy City. We traveled by train and arrived in Chicago around 11 am this morning. The weather here is very comfortable. Tomorrow should be decent, but a turn will come Sunday with a predicted high of 9. I came prepared, however. Being cold doesn’t settle well with me.

The day consisted of pretty much settling in the hotel, eating a late lunch/dinner at a wonderful gem called ‘Joe’s Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab’. WOW, was this place a class act! We started with some Oysters on the Half Shell, and Stone Crab … both amazing. You can see the presentation as well as my dinner of Ahi Tuna on Snapchat. I had a glass of a favorite white wine, Sauvignon Blanc .. from New Zealand. I prefer New Zealand over Sonoma. I also had a lovely glass of ‘Inman’ Pinot Noir. If you like your Pinot Noir, take this one as a recommendation. The dinner was topped off with a double espresso. I knew this pick me up would be needed to get me through the afternoon & evening. If you come to Chicago, and love seafood, or steak .. check out Joe’s. Ten out of 10 in all areas. When eating at restaurants priced in this caliber. I expect the ‘WOW’ factor in ALL areas! No exceptions!

After dinner, my phone died, as well as my charging case … Uuugh, story of my life. I wasn’t able to snap our walk through the city to the Water Tower, but shortly after arriving at the mall, I ditched the teens and young adults and took Chloe back to the hotel to swim. If I vacation with the kids, it’s not about me and when you still have a young one, you have to compromise.

The rest of the evening will be hanging out at the hotel and relaxing while the teens and young adults run around the city. They came back momentarily  with loads of bags. The jealousy settled in. After they leave, I will for sure be rummaging through the Zara, H & M, and all the other bags to see what I can borrow. They may or may not come back to a missing Lush Bath Bomb. “I don’t know where it went!” The joys of having girls. Boy.. do kids grow up fast.

Hopefully tomorrow I can check back in. But if not, I’ll be snapping throughout the day.

Enjoy your weekend! Be Safe! Stay tuned for next weeks blog post. It’s a GIVEAWAY! Yes, I am having another GIVEAWAY. You won’t want to miss out! It’s better than the last one! In fact ….. I want to enter!!!! I’ll keep you posted and we’ll see you on Snap!!!

Wherever we go, Lucy …. we always need to leave some spots open for swim time. Nice that the older girls are independent and can run off on their own.Have a nice day!
